About Dr.Nicole, ND
I'm a lover of nature - but I think that's a prerequisite for becoming a naturopathic doctor. There's something about the vibrant yet delicate planet we inhabit that makes me want to see and learn more. I have lived in Toronto my whole life but did most of my growing up and learning while at my cottage in the Kawarthas. I'm now a mom of two, navigating motherhood while doing my best to support and prepare my mind and body through midlife and beyond.
I have spent many years developing what I hope to inspire in you - a trust in the healing power of nature, something that is within you, and all around you. My goal is teaching you how to listen to & understand your body while re-teaching your body to heal & build resilience.
The Technical Stuff
I have completed a Doctor of Naturopathy and Clinical Residency at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. I am a fully licensed ND with prescribing rights registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO) and member of Ontario and Canadian Associations of Naturopathic Medicine (OAND & CAND).
I started my education in Biology at the University of Guelph, exploring the evolution and physiology of mammals and our environment. I went on to complete a Masters in Biomedical Sciences, to learn more about current medicine and scientific research. It was then that I discovered Naturopathic Medicine and decided to spend my life helping my environment and my community through naturopathy. I have a great appreciation for education and academic support. I was a recipient of several awards through my career at the University of Guelph, including the William and Nona Heaslip Scholarship and the Dr. John H. Lumsden Graduate Scholarship in Clinical Pathology, CCNM's AOR 3rd year bursary, and the Naturopathic Honour Award from my graduating class. I am forever grateful, reciprocating that generosity through my involvement in academia and the health of my community.
